Clean & simple card class…

Tonight is my monthly card class with a fellow demonstrator. These classes are fun and one of my favorite nights of the month because I get to share my love of Stampin’ Up! with others. At these classes I design a few cards and my upline designs a few cards. The friends who come to the class get to create each of these designs and it’s always fun to see what extra they add. Some add a stamped image to the inside of the card or to the envelope. I’m not sure what I like best about card class, maybe just all of it from sitting creating at my desk to watching these customers turned friends create. Here’s one of tonight’s designs….

Hope to see you at a class soon!

Great Gatsby Inspired…

Yesterday was monthly card class and I loved it!  It’s always such a refreshing and fun evening.  This month I created 3 of the card designs for our class.  It’s such a pleasure to host these classes with my upline and to share our unique styles with our customers.

One of the many supplies I was excited to use for this card class was a featured product from the mini catalogs that now has a happy home (and extended color line) in the newly released Catalog.  It’s the Core’dinations card stock!!  I grabbed some of the Early Espresso for this card. I’m also loving the new Neutrals color, Smoky Slate. The Great Gatsby movie and the pictures of the Tiffany’s jewelry used in the movie have been on my mind lately and inspired this card. Adding the beautiful silver glimmer paper (another fabulous returning product) gave this card the sparkle it needed in my opinion. I was in need of a wedding card so the new Label Love stamp set fit the bill perfectly. While I’m going to use the card to go with a wedding present, I think you could also use this card for an anniversary card as well. And so here is the Great Gatsby inspired card from last night’s card class…

Stampin’ Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Label Love
Ink:  Smoky Slate
Paper:  Early Espresso Core’dination Cardstock, Silver Glimmer Paper, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Punch: Artisan Label, Scallop Trim

Card Inspiration :: Carry On

Tonight is a fun card class so this week I will have some designs to show you from that class.  Yay for creating and blog posts!  It’s been a busy few weeks and my blog has been low on the priority list.  But I’m back for a bit and hope you enjoy the samples.

I got inspired by the Paper Players blog challenge this week so I used that inspiration to create this first card of my 3 designs for card class.  I was also inspired by my husband’s recent trip to London, England and the umbrella he brought back that said Keep Calm It’s Raining. Which in England is a common occurrence but for us West Texas folk rain is rare of late and so calm is probably not the reaction we would have if it rained!  We found it funny.  I had yet to use the Carry On stamp set as it is a Hostess set (one of many great choices for you to select with your hostess dollars when your workshop order totals $150 or more).  The sketch design this week by the Paper Players just seemed to call to me to use this stamp set.  Plus I had just gotten my order with the Spring designer series paper Sunshine and Sprinkles and the umbrella pattern was too irresistible to me.  Hope you enjoy…

Card Class :: You’re Amazing

Last night was a fun class, full of happy stampers creating cards.  This is the last of the 3 designs I created for class.  My upline Cheryl designed the other 5 for class and they were awesome!!

you're amazing elephant

This card was a CASE from a friend and fellow demonstrator, Amy.  I’ve been wanting to use the sweet elephant from the You’re Amazing stamp set and was inspired by her card.  While I truly did not originally intend to use the same colors she used, as I was selecting papers based on my card stock supply and then read her ingredients and realized I just selected the 3 same colors!  Apparently it was meant to be!  My card is a much more basic version of hers which makes it easier for our card class that has a wide range of experience with stamping as well as fitting the 8 card creation in our desired time allotment.  This card would be easy to take to the next level (as you can see in Amy’s card) by adding the blender pens or watercolor to the elephant.  I like how this turned out and can’t wait to send it to someone for a birthday or maybe even congrats?!  We’ll see.

Hope your week is good and that you have enjoyed the past 3 days of card class samples!

January Card Class

This Monday (January 24th) is the monthly card class hosted by my upline, Cheryl, and myself.  I finished my 3 cards for class last night and am excited to have them designed.  Some months I am better than others at getting them done before the class.  Maybe 2011 I will be more on the ball and get things done before the event rather than the day and night before the event.  Only time will tell!!  🙂

So here are the 3 samples.  I have a bit of a heart theme going on…and 4 hearts at that – probably because I am getting close to my due date on my 2nd child and then I will be a family of 4 hearts maybe that’s part of the inspiration for 4 hearts on 2 of the cards.  Anyway these cards are pretty simple and fun.

The 2 heart cards were inspired by a fellow SU! demonstrator’s work presented on her blog.  The Fall in Love stamp set featured on the “Love” card is part of a special bundle that ends on Monday, January 24th that includes the stamp set, a specialty paper pack, and some Free bitty buttons.  Be sure and check out that promotion so you don’t miss out on a great deal with some fun products.  The “Three Little Words” card features a stamp set that you can earn FREE during Sale-a-Bration which begins on Tuesday, January 25th!!

Hope you will join us for the fun night of stamping at Card Class night and that these samples provide a bit of inspiration for you!!

December Club Night Inspiration

Tonight was my monthly stamp club night. I look forward to this night every month! I love getting to spend some time with my craft friends and share some fun ideas and projects. Since my trip to my first convention in Salt Lake City in the summer of 2008 I have been doing a monthly plate design. Once my stamp club took off they do the plate design and display it in their homes. I think it’s pretty neat!! So here are the projects from this months stamp club. We did a festive plate, a small luggage box for a Christmas treat, and a scallop square ornament (ours will have a picture in the green rectangle after we get E’s pics done). I hope the ladies liked the projects too!!

Here’s a big THANKS to my faithful club members thanks for sticking with me!!

Are you interested in club contact me to become a part of the group.

Happy Holidays!!
