Happy Saturday

I’ve been missing my blogging and updating of my Stampin’ Up! time so no better day to get back into the swing of things than Saturdays!  This February I have started finding Saturday mornings a great time to find some stamping time and complete some kits I’ve purchased.  I’ve got a slew of cards ready to go now after having finally stamped the two kits: Tin of Cards Project Kit and Cottage Greetings Card Kit.  Both kits have some great coordinating stamps that will be well used and loved beyond the kit themselves!  Plus with the Tin of Cards Kit, I also have a great place to store all the cards I just made!  Woohoo for instant storage!  And what a grand feeling to now have 31 cards ready to go.  In fact I’ve already mailed out quite a few of them with friends identified for a few more cards to be mailed.  Working on being better at getting cards in the mail to people too since it’s always nice to get some item in the mail that isn’t an advertisement.  So I found myself stamping on Saturday mornings 3 times this month (pretty good!) and thought as I posted on my facebook page that a hashtag was in order…thus was born #wakeupandstampsaturdays I mean really we all need a good hashtag these days, right?!  Well happy stamping my friends hope you find something to inspire you!  If you need a bit of help in the inspiration department feel free to call on me.  Enjoy your Saturday!

Friday inspiration…

Happy August!! Here’s a bit of Friday inspiration…

This card from this week’s card class features a new Big Shot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder – Lovely Lace. I love this new embossing folder, it truly is lovely!

Speaking of the Big Shot….the August Stampin’ Up! promotion revolves around this fabulous crafting tool. I don’t know what I’d do without my Big Shot, it truly is one of my go-to tools whether I’m making cards, scrapbooking, gifts…well everything! Go check out all the details on my website…

Get inspired!

MDS Inspiration :: Tooth Fairy

Last night our first grader lost her first tooth!!  It was very exciting!  So the tooth fairy was set to make her first visit to our house.  I had seen this tooth fairy receipt idea on pinterest and thought that it would be a fun thing to do for our girls.  After the girls went to bed I got on MDS2 and started designing our first tooth fairy receipt.  I thought I would share it with you all today.

Friday Inspiration :: Best of Everything

Happy Friday!  Hope your Friday is fabulous.  I got busy last night creating 2 designs for an upcoming card class on Tuesday night.  I love the set Best of Everything and haven’t used it in a while so I thought this would be a great opportunity to use it.  I loved my friend Amy’s layout on her card from Monday of this week.  She used the Retrosketches site.  There are a ton of great blogs that feature inspiring sketches, color schemes, and ideas!  Thanks to my fabulous friend Amy for sharing her work in her new blog!  She creates some beautiful cards and scrapbook pages.

So here’s my take on the card and just one of two designs my card making friends will get to make at Tuesday’s card class.

Enjoy your Friday!  Check back next week for the second sample from card class and some projects I’ve been creating on My Digital Studio.

Back from Regionals

I got back from a fabulous weekend in San Antonio and Stampin’ Up! Regionals on Sunday night full of ideas and memories of a fun weekend.  I laughed a lot with my friends and learned some new techniques.  As always at these events I have so many new ideas that I want to start implementing and creating!

Yesterday I got my order which included some new Decor Elements.  In this order I had ordered the “Season of Thanks” in chocolate chip.  It is so pretty and so simple.  I love the phrase – Season of Thanks, Season of Blessings, Season of Love –  and have already started creating my shadow box with it.  I will post pictures hopefully later today or tomorrow with the finished product.  I am anticipating changing out the background and items in the shadow box for each season which is great because then I will be continually featuring the newest designer series paper or my favorite from the big Idea Book & Catalog.  If you want to peruse the Decor Elements line please visit my demo website and shop now.  Here’s a link to the Season of Thanks item.  When I post the picture of the finished shadow box I will also post additional details about what supplies I used to create it.

I also got some other really fun products that I can’t wait to start using.  Maybe this afternoon I will find the time to start creating.  How’s your creating?  Are you finding the time to fit it in?  Need some ideas, let me know!!

Hope your day is great!

Regionals in San Antonio

Tomorrow I leave with my upline and fellow demonstrators to go to San Antonio for Regionals.  I am very excited about the opportunity to go and get some more great ideas.  The event is all day Saturday and should be a great time!  This is my first Regional seminar and I am looking forward to it.  Maybe next year I can invite some guests to go with me and experience it as well.

In other news, I have so many great ideas for Christmas cards that it is going to be hard to narrow it down to the one for us.  I have found a few other demonstrator’s blogs and they have some great samples and ideas on-line.  It makes it hard to remember what you have seen on-line and what ideas you have come up with yourself but at the same time that constant flow of ideas is great!

I hope all is well in your world and that great ideas and creativity are a constant part of your day.

I’ll post again after Regionals and hopefully have some samples up for you to see.  Have a great weekend!
