I’ve gone missing here on my blog and I’m sorry for that! Life is pretty busy and my stamping time and blog posting has been sparse. I still do monthly card classes so be sure and check my calendar. I post fairly often on my business Facebook page so be sure and “like” it so you will get these updates. I’ll be back at blogging some day! See you soon and get inspired!!
Yesterday was monthly card class and I loved it! It’s always such a refreshing and fun evening. This month I created 3 of the card designs for our class. It’s such a pleasure to host these classes with my upline and to share our unique styles with our customers.
One of the many supplies I was excited to use for this card class was a featured product from the mini catalogs that now has a happy home (and extended color line) in the newly released Catalog. It’s the Core’dinations card stock!! I grabbed some of the Early Espresso for this card. I’m also loving the new Neutrals color, Smoky Slate. The Great Gatsby movie and the pictures of the Tiffany’s jewelry used in the movie have been on my mind lately and inspired this card. Adding the beautiful silver glimmer paper (another fabulous returning product) gave this card the sparkle it needed in my opinion. I was in need of a wedding card so the new Label Love stamp set fit the bill perfectly. While I’m going to use the card to go with a wedding present, I think you could also use this card for an anniversary card as well. And so here is the Great Gatsby inspired card from last night’s card class…
Stamp Sets: Label Love
Ink: Smoky Slate
Paper: Early Espresso Core’dination Cardstock, Silver Glimmer Paper, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Punch: Artisan Label, Scallop Trim
This past weekend we got to meet the sweetest new baby girl. I got out my sewing machine before her arrival to make a little ribbon blanket swatch for her and of course a baby card. Can you spot some new products on the card? I could not wait to play with two of the new sneak peek products (now don’t you want to be a demonstrator so you too can take advantage of the sneak peek?!). I had some old retired pretty in pink scallop edge note cards from several catalogs ago that I have not used up yet so I grabbed one of those and used the new Modern Mosaic embossing folder. Then added some chocolate chip card stock with the new Mosaic punch. Add a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and coordinating framelit and viola a sweet little notecard to go with the present.
I love making these sweet little ribbon blanket swatches. My eldest had one when she was a baby and would rub it on her face and play with all the fascinating ribbons. When my second child was on her way, I made one for her using some of the Stampin’ Up! fabric and coordinating it with her quilt and bumpers for her crib out of the same fabric. I have an abundance of ribbon (I might have a ribbon addiction) and this is the perfect way to use some of those old retired Stampin’ Up! ribbon spools for me. When I realized how quick these were to make I decided that since they were a success with my own girls that they would be great presents for friends and relatives babies. So every once in a while I pull out my sewing machine and make a few with my Stampin’ Up! fabric and ribbon. When I found out that my husband’s cousin was coming to town with her new baby girl, I just knew I had to make one for them. Hope their little girl enjoys it as much as our did.
I’m sorry I’ve been absent from my blog for far longer than I anticipated! I have a few samples in the works, so be expecting some posts in the upcoming weeks. Some will be samples from the last card class I had on April 30th and some will be all new samples. I hope you enjoy!
Since now is the time of year for retiring products from Stampin’ Up!, today’s card features a stamp set that I have really enjoyed for the past few years (yes it’s one that has been here for a couple of catalogs but never truly gets old!). I will be sad to see it go because it was one that I went to frequently. I saw a version of this card in the current catalog and thought I have got to create a card like that. Of course it never comes out exactly the same and that’s fun for me. I love being inspired by the catalog!
I wanted to create this card as a thank you for a few fabulous customers who placed online orders recently. Hope they enjoyed the circle surprise! Also love that most of the colors on this card will be part of the color refresh and will still be around to play with in the next catalog (to be released May 31st)!
Stamp Sets: Just Believe

Happy Friday! Here is the final design of my 3 cards for card class.
This one is very clean and simple. Hope you enjoy!
I like the patterned stamp from the Oh, Hello stamp set and thought it made a good background. Crumb cake and Chocolate Chip are two of my favorite colors and it was nice to showcase them as the card rather than just as basics to add words or sentiments or a neutral to a card full of color. Hope you enjoy!
Have a great weekend! See you soon!

Hello again! Another post this week, the 2nd of my 3 designs for card class from Monday.
I love the new Ciao, Baby! stamp set and cute coordinating punches. They are so small and perfect!! I just recently got the new Ovals Collection Framelits and the Oh, Hello stamp set and all of it just screamed to be used. I got the inspiration for this card from one of my favorite designers and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators (Amy). She does beautiful work! Here’s her blog post with the sample that inspired my design. I also loved how she rolled the ends of the banner tails instead of just adhering them down. So here’s what I came up with and I hope you enjoy. I love this color combination of Basic Gray, Primrose Petals, and Summer Starfruit. Enjoy!
Hope you have a Happy Day! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Tonight is a fun card class so this week I will have some designs to show you from that class. Yay for creating and blog posts! It’s been a busy few weeks and my blog has been low on the priority list. But I’m back for a bit and hope you enjoy the samples.
I got inspired by the Paper Players blog challenge this week so I used that inspiration to create this first card of my 3 designs for card class. I was also inspired by my husband’s recent trip to London, England and the umbrella he brought back that said Keep Calm It’s Raining. Which in England is a common occurrence but for us West Texas folk rain is rare of late and so calm is probably not the reaction we would have if it rained! We found it funny. I had yet to use the Carry On stamp set as it is a Hostess set (one of many great choices for you to select with your hostess dollars when your workshop order totals $150 or more). The sketch design this week by the Paper Players just seemed to call to me to use this stamp set. Plus I had just gotten my order with the Spring designer series paper Sunshine and Sprinkles and the umbrella pattern was too irresistible to me. Hope you enjoy…
Now if only we could get some nice rain! Enjoy your Monday!
