Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!  I hope you are having a great day and being told you are loved by friends and family!

I wanted to share my 1st grader’s Valentine’s for her teacher and classmates.  She and I looked through some ideas on pinterest and couldn’t decide between a coloring idea and a candy idea so we chose to do both in one project.  We both really liked how it turned out!  She let me design one side of the card with MDS2 and then she stamped the Build-a-Bear images on the other side.  On Valentine’s given to girls in her class she had the girl bear hold the purple card, and on Valentine’s that she was giving to boys in her class she had the boy bear hold the card.  It was a great opportunity to craft together!

Hope you have a Valentine’s Day “Bursting with Color” as well!!  Enjoy the day!

MDS Inspiration :: Tooth Fairy

Last night our first grader lost her first tooth!!  It was very exciting!  So the tooth fairy was set to make her first visit to our house.  I had seen this tooth fairy receipt idea on pinterest and thought that it would be a fun thing to do for our girls.  After the girls went to bed I got on MDS2 and started designing our first tooth fairy receipt.  I thought I would share it with you all today.

Do you have fun traditions to make these exciting events even more memorable?

Enjoy your Tuesday!

Birthday Banner

Last week was my youngest daughter’s 2nd Birthday and on Friday’s post I shared her birthday invitation and extra design.  Here is the banner and door decoration that I created using MDS2.

2nd Birthday MDS2 Banner

We hung the banner above the big window in our dining room which was also above the chair of the birthday girl.  My daughter’s name begins with “O” so I chose to cut those out using So Saffron paper and a big shot alphabet die to add some real dimension.  Although I really do love the drop shadow effect in MDS2.  The “2” pennants were all MDS2 creations and up close they appeared to be 3-dimensional due to the fabulous drop shadow effect.

I was pleased with how quickly the banner came together using the same elements from the birthday card and announcement.  The pennant punches in MDS2 made this super easy and my SU! Paper Trimmer made the cutting super easy and straight.

Enjoy your Monday!
